The three categories
Cookies on this site are grouped into the standard three categories, so that a choice made about one category applies to everything in it.
- Necessary — required to deliver something you actively asked for, such as remembering the language you selected. These cannot be switched off, and UK law does not require consent for them.
- Analytics — would measure how the site is used, to improve it. None are used at present, and none would be set before you agreed.
- Marketing — would build a profile of your interests to show advertising. None are used at present, and none would be set before you agreed.
What this site does not use
This is worth stating plainly, because most sites cannot say it.
- No analytics of any kind: no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Vercel Analytics, no server-side measurement.
- No advertising or tracking pixels: no Meta Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no Google Ads tags.
- No embedded third-party content: no YouTube or Vimeo players, no Google Maps, no social widgets, no comment systems.
- No CAPTCHA service: the contact form is protected by server-side checks rather than by reCAPTCHA or hCaptcha.
- No third-party fonts: the typeface is served from this site’s own domain, so no request reaches an outside font host.
- No tag manager, no session recording, no heatmaps, no A/B testing tools.
Changing your choices
Because everything set today is strictly necessary, there is nothing you need to agree to and no consent banner is shown. Showing one would be theatre, and it would train you to dismiss banners that do matter.
You can still see and set your preferences at any time using the control below. If an analytics or marketing cookie is ever introduced, it will be blocked until you allow it, a consent banner will appear, and your existing preference will be honoured.
Controlling cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies, usually under Settings, then Privacy. You can also browse in a private or incognito window, which discards cookies when you close it.
Blocking the two cookies used here has no downside beyond the site forgetting your language choice between visits. Nothing else depends on them.
Changes to this policy
This page is updated whenever a cookie is added, removed or changed, with a new date at the top. If a non-necessary cookie is ever introduced, you will be asked for consent before it is set, regardless of any choice you made previously.
